I always shop around and give them equal opportunity to waste my time (LMAO!)  In comparison with other Mercedes Dealerships ONLY, I think Barrier Mercedes is the best as far as I'm concerned.  But as soon as Toyota / Lexus gets their act together, I'm going back to Lexus next time I need a brand new car.  Or Acura....

I leased a MB SLK 55 AMG from the dealership 3 years ago. I wanted a two year lease, they talked me into a three year contract with US Bank as a lessor. I paid extra to insure the tires since they are very expensive. At any time, none of the terms of the lease were explained to me. when the lease expired, I was left on my own to deal with US Bank (whom by the way is even worse than Barrier to deal with). Barrier Motors did not help me in ANY WAY to complete my lease. It became MY problem with US BANK. The general manager would not return my call. The sales manager told me " that is too bad you are having issues with US Bank, that is why we don't deal with them any more. If MB was the lessor, you would not have any charges". US Bank charged me $1000 for "wear and tear" on my tires (MB insurance did not pay anything: they claim the insurance paysONLY  if the tires are flat, another misinformation), penalty charge for returning the car and not purchasing it. My car had 17,000 miles on it  and they had the nerve to charge me for "wear and tear"! never again will I use Barrier Motors

Barrier Mercedes is first class. We are always treated like gold, employees of out of their way to make sure you are being of. We purchased a Mercedes here and have had it services here, every experience has been positive.

Disappointing customer service, especially for Mercedes. Have had my car serviced at Barrier Mercedes a couple times, each time was worse than the last. The most recent trip cost me over $400 for an oil change, they kept my car for over 24 hours and when I picked my car up they hadn't washed it. Even Jiffy Lube vaccums your floor mats... Not impressed.

Finally, Yelp has given me the chance to voice my opinion about Barrier. Even though it has been over 10 years ago I still want to pass on my story. My Volvo broke down in Bellevue and the closest place to have it towed was Barrier. I had my 3 year old son with me (Female) at the time and I think because we were towed in and I had a small child with me I was an easy mark. They looked at the car right a way and I was given an estimate of $2300.00. I wish I can remember what they said was wrong with it but it's been too long. Called my husband and he said NOT to okay the repair and to call around. I called another Volvo repair shop and the man there said he never heard of that (Whatever part it was) going bad and he has owned 4 Volvos and repairs them. So when I told the guy who gave me the estimate that I was having my car towed somewhere else he immediately pulled the written estimate off the table and crunched it up (Hey! that was MY copy). They were not expecting me to go elsewhere with a dead car.
Anyway, even though I paid another $100.00 to have it towed I only paid $400.00 to have it fixed. Still saved 100's of dollars.
WATCH OUT and be a smart consumer when it comes to this shop.
p.s. The repair guys and the guy at the desk all had to be in on this...

WOW im amazed by the bad reviews... I guess when it comes to car dealerships, maybe people dont think to review as much unless its a bad experience.  I have been consistently impressed with the service at Barrier.  The second I get here I am greeted, they are quick and extremely helpful.  I hate having to wait around at dealerships and you can tell they know to not waste time.   Mike Lawson always is so cheery and a pleasure to work with.  The service desk has been great as well.  Starbucks coffee in the lounge, nice TV waiting area...  and my car is always spic and span when its returned to me.  They have ALOT of turn around here at barrier and yet they keep service prompt and organized.  Well done!

the sales and service of all of barriers different dealerships are arrogant to put it mildly; particularly mercedes.

the friendliest people in any of the dealerships to talk to is always the parts people.  they will give you more experienced information that does service.

volvo sales is low key, primarily because they dont sell many volvos.  I had a volvo wagon with the front left headlight out.  volvo service charged me $6 for the bulb and $125 for the labor............that was it, I had had enough and got rid of my volvo and now have 2 Subaru Outbacks 3.0R from Chaplins Motors...........a great car and very friendly people throughout.

Garry at the Porsche service desk is a nice guy, but other than that there's no reason to come here.

got a new C230 Kompressor sedan there years ago and had nothing but problems with the dealer.

First, their loaner fleet is from Enterprise, so usually you are getting out with a V6 Magnum or a Ford Taurus.  My expectations on a new car is that the dealer provides the same or better vehicle of the same brand as a loaner.  One time, they gave me a Volvo S40 that didn't have working headlights...  I find out of course at night.

Second, their service was horrible.  One time, I brought the car in for detailing (this was one of the items they agreed to do on purchase of vehicle).  got the car back and the top (car was black) was still full of water marks.  They brought it back in, got the car back with a dent on the b pillar.  they brought it back in, got it back.

Next, the Harmon Kardon stereo kept turning off, so back in the shop, when the car was returned, the center console around the shifter was melted...

I traded in the C230 for a Lexus the next year.  Tired of poor Barrier service.  Also, many of the sales staff were snotty.

I recently purchased a Mercedes from another dealership, but had to have one of my headlights replaced. I drove to Barrier, which is the closest Mercedez-Benz dealership to where I live. I was a little worried about what they would end up charging me to have the bulb replaced as well as the service cost. When I pulled up o the service center I was immediately greeted by a nice guy named Steve. I showed him what needed done and he proceeded to go to work on it. He had my headlight fixed in under 10 minutes and he did it FREE-OF-CHARGE! Nothing is free anymore....I will recommend Barrier to everyone I know.
